January 29 - March 12, 2026 (No class on February 19)

Thursdays 6-8 p.m. EST/3-5 p.m. PST

*Limited to 6 writers*

Do you have a personal essay you’ve been working on and feel it’s almost ready for pitching? Are you interested in having your essay read and workshopped by a small group of writers? Join us in 2026!

Elevate your prose by identifying what is essential to your story. Tighten syntax; enhance metaphor and lyricism; hone your tone and structure; and apply creative elements that support your writing.

In this six-week personal essay intensive, you will work closely with two experienced instructors, essayist Terri Linton and poet Carrie Aberle. We’ll work alongside you – The Revisionist!

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • One essay (no more than 3,000 words) twice workshopped by five other writers whose feedback will aid in and deepen your revision.

  • Verbal and written feedback from Terri and Carrie identifying ways to further evolve your essay.

  • Instructor-led mini-lessons specifically tailored to address emerging craft-based needs of the group.

  • The opportunity to engage with and learn from the work of other writers.

  • A revised essay ready for pitching.

  • Guidance on how and where to pitch your essay for publication.

Cost: $775
